McKinnon Hill Medical Centre is a purposely designed and built Medical Centre accommodating a team of enthusiastic medical professionals thriving to provide modern and holistic care to local community. Our doctors and administrative staff will guarantee that they will do everything possible to make sure every patient leaves our clinic fully satisfied and happy. Well balanced and selected team of GPs, Specialists and Allied Health Practitioners will be able to address all medical and social needs of all our patients.
Our clinic participates in the training of doctors through the training program of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and has been accredited with them since 2015. We are also a fully Accredited Practice with QPA (Quality practice accreditation).
A GP Registrar is a fully qualified medical doctor, undertaking advanced training to specialise in General Practice. The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners RACGP requires aspiring General Practitioners to complete an advanced GP training program. Over at least two years, GP Registrars will attend placements at up to four different medical practices.
McKinnon Hill Medical Centre offers six or twelve-month placements to our Registrars. Here they receive a great opportunity to work in a busy yet supportive environment that focuses on family medicine and community health. Being qualified medical doctors, GP Registrars are knowledgeable and skilled. After six- or twelve-months Registrars generally move on to their next placement. Once they complete their final exams, they are fully fledged General Practitioners and have the option to continue at McKinnon Hill Medical Centre.
We (our practice) provide training opportunities for THINK EDUCATION Students (Nurses) running the Diploma of Nursing HLT54115 by providing supervision and support during their clinical placements.
