Men’s Health – Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction (ED) refers to difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection. It can impact self-esteem, relationships, and quality of life.
Causes include:
- Heart disease, diabetes, obesity, prostate issues
- Smoking, certain medications, sleep disorders
- Stress, anxiety, and depression
Pelvic floor therapy (Kegels): These exercises strengthen muscles involved in erection and ejaculation.
How to do them:
- Identify pelvic floor muscles by stopping urination mid-stream or contracting anal muscles
- Contract these muscles for 5 seconds, relax, and repeat
- Aim for 10–20 repetitions, 3 times a day
Results: Regular practice may improve erectile function, especially when guided by a healthcare provider.
